Thank you for this question! (Also, thank you for not attacking me. I hate when people do that on here. I am not one to try to shove my beliefs on other people.)

I believe that God does want us to help others and those in need. The Bible says this. However, I think that the government should not be involved. I believe that people should give out of the kindness of their heart not because the government is forcing them to give away their hard earned money. Also, this gives the individual their own choice on where they want their money to go.

I don’t think that those who work hard to make something of themselves should be punished with unreasonable high taxes because we have to pay for these programs. That’s just not the American dream.

All in all, I am for community service and giving to those in need but I am not for the government punishing the working class in the process.
